Salted Chocolate Bliss Balls

nutritionist manly chocolate bliss ball recipe

My most popular recipe by far…fruit-free bliss ball which will satisfy!

Ingredients
1 cup raw nuts (mix almonds and cashews)
2 tablespoons unhulled tahini
1/4 cup chia seeds
3 tablespoons raw cacao powder
1 1/2 tablespoons maple syrup
1/4 cup desiccated coconut + extra for rolling in
1 teaspoon vanilla (ground or extract)
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
2 pinches of salt (as salty as you like!)
1 tablespoon coconut oil, melted
Small touch of water if needed

Optional ingredients:
1/4 cup goji berries (optional – remove for 100% fruit-free option)
1-2 serves of natural protein powder for a high protein or post-workout snack (e.g. 180 Nutrition protein)
1/4 cup raw cacao nibs – for extra crunch!

Method
Add all ingredients to a food processor or blender. Blend until well combined. Stop the blender every so often, scrape the mixture down from the sides and add small touches or water if needed. Once ingredients are well combined and sticking together, it is ready to be rolled into balls.

Using wet hands, take a large tablespoon of mixture out and roll into balls. You can then roll the balls in the extra desiccated coconut or some raw cacao powder.

Put these into the fridge to set, they will last up to 2 weeks.

These are a great replacement to store bought chocolate or sweets to enjoy as a treat or on the go!

Rich in protein, these bliss balls also aid muscle recovery and keep you fuller for longer. Raw cacao is the richest source of magnesium, an essential nutrient for sports recovery, energy production and stress.
