Flu Fighter Tea

A natural cold + flu tonic

Ingredients
1 tablespoon manuka honey or rice malt syrup
2 tsp freshly grated ginger
1/4 lemon
1 cinnamon quill
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
6 cloves
1/4 teaspoon fresh chilli
1 garlic clove, smashed
Optional: Fresh turmeric or galangal

Method
Add 1L of water to a saucepan and bring to the boil. Add all ingredients and continue to boil for 1 minute. Allow to cool slightly, and strain the liquid into a glass jug or jar.
Sip on this tea warm throughout the day, or keep in your fridge and re-heat a cup when needed.

Thermomix Method
Add ginger and chilli to bowl and blend for 1 second/speed 5.
Remove ginger and chilli from the bowl.
Add 1L of water to the bowl and boil at 12 minutes/100 degrees/speed 2.
Add ingredients and continue for another 1 minute/100 degrees/speed 2.
